The Eaton ATS series is made to provide backup power supplies for equipment that only has one connection. IT equipment that only has one power source can get power from two different sources with an ATS.

Dual power supplies are something that only the most advanced servers have. Most network devices and low-end servers only have one connection and one way to plug in power. Using an Eaton ATS, you can connect important equipment to a backup power supply. Both sources, the main and the secondary, are connected to the ATS in a simple way at the base of the rack. The Eaton ATS then controls the redundancy of this electric power supply. If the first source fails, the switch to the second source happens automatically and right away.
